· Thank you so much for coming and helping out with the free mochi pounding yesterday! Every year, I get nervous thinking, "What if no one comes?" We started steaming the glutinous rice 50 minutes before the start, and it was really nice to see so many people there and be able to say happy new year to them! The men also pitched in to help pound the rice, and thanks to them we were able to make delicious mochi! (I asked him directly, but I hope he will do it again next year haha) It was heartwarming to see even small children taking turns sticking to the table☺️ We prepared more than last year, but we apologize to some of you who we weren't able to give away, and to those who had many reservations and couldn't be seated! Grandberry Park was also incredibly crowded, but were you able to get what you were looking for? We are still accepting reservations for today, so please contact us by phone or online. · Sorry for the mistake in my previous post, I'm reposting it 🙏 \ New Year's holiday opening hours and free mochi pounding 🎍/ I'm sure there are many people who finished work yesterday✨ Children who are in sleep mode are playing happily at Tsuruma Park! Tsuruma Shokudo will be open until 3:00 PM on the 29th (Mon) this year! We will be open from lunch on the 3rd of the new year 🌞 Before the opening on the 3rd, we will be having our traditional free rice cake pounding event starting around 10:00. To the men in the neighborhood who have too much energy(?), we would be grateful if you could help us with the hard work of mashing the freshly steamed rice cakes🙏 Freshly pounded rice cakes will be served on a first-come, first-served basis with kinako and red bean paste. We will be selling beer, mulled wine and hot coffee outside the store! Please make sure to stay warm and head out to visit shrines and do some shopping ☕️ We have received many reservations for New Year's parties this year, but we are still accepting reservations! He began composing and performing while still a university student, and is currently active at live music venues in Tokyo and Kanagawa. ---- 🎸Akira Kaneda (bass) Born in Tokyo.He taught himself to play the guitar when he was in junior high school, and later switched to the bass.He aspired to become a professional bassist and began studying under Motohiko Hamase at the age of 20.His musical career spans a wide range of genres, including Watanabe Tatsuro Quintet, The King Tones, Ano ne no ne, Shibata Yoichi & ZEBRA, Yoshi Ikuzo, Nagayo Chigusa, and Watanabe Minayo.After a period of inactivity, the band resumed activities in 2011 and currently performs mainly in the Tokyo and Kanagawa areas. ---- 🥁Yoshida Shingo (Drums) @shingodrum Born in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture in 1981.He started playing drums at the age of 15. Since 2000, he has been active mainly in the Kanto region as the drummer for "DISPORT," "Naikaku no Nami," "COALESCE," "Kikratemensis," "Watashitachi wa Shingo," and "espaco." From 2010 to 2022, he hosted the open, borderless jam session event "NEOJAM." Since 2019, he has been giving lessons in various locations as a Yamaha certified drum instructor.
